It´s the second single and “color” from my new album, Heartshaped (April 17) feat. Aaron Parks - piano, Thomas Morgan - double bass & Jongkuk Kim - drums. An absolute dreamteam of musicians and human beings ✨
The album is a palette of eight different musical colors 🎨🎶, and Revelation is purple 💜
It´s a song about discovering and experiencing that we are interconnected with all that is. That we are part of the Oneness of the Cosmos with all its motions and elements. This disclosure can feel like a revelation when one, as many humans, for so long have lived based on ideas of separation - from each other and everything else.
I ended up choosing, Revelation, as the opening track for my new album, because it to me symbolizes the kick-off to the journey of the overall theme that are explored on the album, Heartshaped. It explores ideas of connection, impermanence, and attentiveness — to oneself, to others, and to the natural world.
Also… I feel, that the interplay of the band, especially toward the end of the track, expresses this connection and attentiveness. To me the trio is burning like the sun or like playful flames in a fire 🔥 And in a magnificent and magical way expressing lyrics like “…all the fire, all the fire burning brightly. And…the release of it today on March 20, 2026, happens to be the day of the Equinox. A turning point in the seasonal cycle, a time of the return of spring, of new beginnings, renewal and maybe even rebirth ☀️🌱

It´s been a long winter and a long time since I’ve released an album with all my own songs. So…I am very happy and grateful to finally release these songs that have been laying dormant for years, since most of them were conceived back in 2014/15.
Now, I truly hope you’ll listen to all of the songs, when the album is out on APRIL 17, it would make me very happy and grateful 🙏
